Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: January 2, 2026
The NeuroSpark Foundation is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.
Our mission is rooted in education, advocacy, and community, and that only works when people can actually reach the information and use it without barriers.
If you experience any difficulty using our site, we want to know. We will listen, take it seriously, and work to improve.

Our accessibility goal
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which is a widely used standard for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities. This includes helping people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice-to-text tools, and other assistive technologies.
What we are doing to support accessibility
We work toward accessibility in practical, ongoing ways, including:
-
Clear structure and headings so pages are easier to scan and navigate
-
Readable text with strong contrast and consistent formatting
-
Keyboard navigation support so the site can be used without a mouse
-
Alternative text (alt text) for meaningful images when feasible
-
Links and buttons labeled clearly so their purpose makes sense out of context
-
Responsive design to support different devices and zoom levels
-
Plain language whenever possible, especially for health-related education content
Because we are building and improving, some parts of the site may not yet meet every standard. When we find gaps, we treat them like a to-do list, not a verdict.
Known limitations
Even with care, accessibility issues can happen. Examples may include:
-
Some older images may be missing alt text
-
Some third-party tools (donation forms, embedded videos, scheduling tools, social media feeds) may not fully meet accessibility standards
-
Some PDFs or downloaded documents may not be fully optimized for screen readers
We are actively working to reduce these barriers over time.
Third-party content and platforms
Some features on our website may rely on third-party services (such as donation processors, email sign-up forms, video platforms, or embedded content). We cannot control their accessibility directly, but we try to choose reputable providers and we will offer alternatives when possible.
If a third-party tool creates a barrier for you, contact us and we will work with you to find another way to access the information or complete the task.
How to request help, report a problem, or request content in another format
If you have trouble accessing any part of our site, you can:
-
Ask for help using the page or feature
-
Report an accessibility issue (tell us what page you were on and what went wrong)
-
Request content in another format (for example: large print, plain text, or a phone call summary)
Please include, if possible:
-
The web page address (URL) or the page name
-
The device and browser you were using
-
A short description of the issue
-
What you were trying to do when it happened
We will do our best to respond within 5 business days.
Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is not a one-time checklist. It is more like light through water, it shifts, it reveals new edges, and it asks for ongoing attention. We review pages, update content, and improve design as we grow, so the site becomes easier to use for everyone.
